Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need to attend therapy?

Sessions are 55 minutes long, and I generally recommend starting with weekly sessions. From there, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and goals. Everyone’s journey is different, so we’ll work together to find a rhythm that best supports your progress and fits with your life.

What is your cancellation policy?

My cancellation policy is as follows: I require 48 hours notice of cancellation. If you do not cancel 48 hours prior to session you will get charged the full session fee to the card on file. If you reach out 24 hours prior to session and want to reschedule within the same week, I will not charge you a late cancellation fee. I offer 1 time late cancellation freebie. Following your freebie I will charge for late cancellations and no shows- no exceptions. This does not apply if you have Care Oregon or OHP.

What if you do not take my insurance?

Many insurance companies have Out of Network Benefits. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for therapy sessions. You pay upfront for sessions, and I provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance. Reimbursement rates vary, so check with your provider about coverage for out-of-network mental health services.

Do you work with clients outside of Oregon?

Due to licensing rules and regulations, I am unable to see you if you are physically located outside the state of Oregon (that even includes vacations). If you’re ever physically out of the state, we will need to reschedule or cancel.

Do you see clients in person?

At this time I am offering both telehealth video sessions through the platform Simple Practice, and in person sessions at my downtown location. Currently in person services are highly requested and only offered on Thursdays. If that changes in the future I will let you know!
